Easy Harvest Crockpot Soup

1 lb  sweet sausage out of casing
1 small, finely chopped onion
1 shallot, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 1/2 cups chicken broth
2 cups canned pumpkin
2 cups hot milk
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
juice of one lemon
1/4 tsp cinnamon
salt & pepper to taste

In large frying pan brown and crumble sausage. Remove sausage and sauté onions, shallot and garlic in drippings. In crock pot, put sausage, onion, shallot, garlic and remaining ingredients and cook on low 4- 6 hours.
